Read By Your Name Reading Challenge

Hey, everyone! Since the year is almost over, I think it’s the perfect time to start thinking about what we want to read next year. If you're looking for a fun reading challenge, this Read by Your Name Reading Challenge might be for you! It’s great for those who don’t want to follow strict rules or complicated prompts, especially if you’re the type of person who likes reading whatever you feel like.

Challenge ini cocok bagi mereka yang tidak ingin mengikuti aturan detail atau prompt yang rumit, terutama jika kalian adalah tipe orang yang suka membaca apa pun yang kalian suka.)

HOW IT WORKS

In this challenge, your username decides what books you’ll read. Here’s how it works: 

1. Pick a username

2. Match each character of your username with the first letter of a book title. Example: Your username is "misterdarcy," you’ll need to read 11 books with titles starting with M, I, S, T, E, R, D, A, R, C, and Y. 

(Dalam challenge kali ini, username kita yang menentukan buku apa yang akan kita baca. Begini cara kerjanya:

1. Pilih username 

2. Cocokkan setiap karakter dalam username kamu dengan huruf pertama judul buku. Contoh: Username kamu adalah "misterdarcy", kamu harus membaca 11 buku dengan judul yang dimulai dengan M, I, S, T, E, R, D, A, R, C, dan Y.)

THE RULES

1. Pick a username from any of your social media accounts. If you don’t have one, you can use your email address or blog domain instead. You can also borrow your family's or friend's or your idol's username too.

2. You need to choose how long you want to do the challenge, whether it’s for a month, a season, or the whole year.  

3. Each character in your username will match a book title. So if your username has 8 characters, you’ll read 8 books, one for each character.  

4. If a title starts with "The," use the letter after it. For example, The Lost Library actually starts with "L."  

5. If your username has Q, U, X, or Z, you have the option to pick books based on these letters OR to use my Pick A Card Reading Challenge or Once Upon A Tome Reading Challenge pages for replacing these letters with reading prompts (you only need to follow either page's rules).

6. There are no limits on genre, page count, or author, just pick books that match the characters of your username (except for the number 5 case)

7. You can start with any character in your username, not necessarily the first one.  

8. All punctuation marks and numbers use the first letter of how you pronounce them. Example: 2 is two so it's started by T, . is dot so it's started by D (it depends on the language you use to read it)

9. You're allowed to share your progress on social media with #ReadByYourName and tag me, @shainalite, on X, Instagram, or YouTube!  

(1. Pilih username dari salah satu akun media sosial kamu. Jika tidak punya, kamu bisa menggunakan alamat email atau domain blog. Kamu juga bisa meminjam username keluarga, teman, atau idola.

2. Kamu perlu memilih berapa lama kamu ingin mengikuti challenge ini, apakah selama sebulan, satu musim, atau setahun penuh.

3. Setiap karakter dalam username kamu akan sesuai dengan huruf awal judul buku yang akan kamu baca. Jadi jika username kamu punya 8 karakter, kamu akan membaca 8 buku, satu buku untuk setiap karakter.

4. Jika judul dimulai dengan "The," gunakan huruf setelahnya. Misalnya, The Lost Library sebenarnya dimulai dengan "L."

5. Jika username kamu mengandung huruf Q, U, X, atau Z, kamu punya opsi untuk memilih buku berdasarkan huruf-huruf ini ATAU menggunakan Pick A Card Reading Challenge or Once Upon A Tome Reading Challenge untuk mengganti huruf-huruf ini dengan prompt baca (Kamu hanya perlu ikut rules baca di challenge tersebut). 

6. Tidak ada batasan genre, jumlah halaman, atau penulis, cukup pilih buku yang sesuai dengan huruf dalam username kamu (kecuali untuk situasi nomor 5)

7. Kamu bisa mulai baca dari karakter apa pun pada username kamu, tidak harus karakter pertama.

8. Semua tanda baca dan angka menggunakan huruf pertama dari bagaimana mereka dibaca. Contoh: 2 adalah dua jadi huruf awalnya adalah D, . adalah titik jadi huruf awalnya adalah T (bagian ini tergantung pada bahasa yang kamu pakai untuk membacanya)

8. Kamu boleh share reading progress kamu di media sosial dengan tagar #ReadByYourName dan tag aku, @shainalite, di X, Instagram, atau YouTube!)
